Terms of Service

Last updated 15 October 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and PhaseCut ("we", "us") about your use of PhaseCut and phasecut.app. By installing PhaseCut or creating an account, you agree to them.

The software and your license

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use PhaseCut on up to two computers while your trial or subscription is active. You may not copy, resell, share your license, reverse engineer the software, or remove license checks, except where the law allows.

Free trial

The trial lasts seven days and includes Sync, Auto Cut, Auto Zoom and both editor integrations, with timelines limited to 30 minutes. Each person gets one trial. After it ends, you need a subscription to keep using PhaseCut.

Subscriptions and payment

PhaseCut is sold as a monthly or annual subscription. Prices are shown at checkout, and taxes are added where they apply. Purchases are processed by our payment provider, which acts as the seller of record. Its checkout terms apply to your purchase, and it handles payment, tax and refunds. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. See our Refunds and Cancellation page for how to cancel and when we refund.

Your footage and projects

You keep all rights to your footage, audio and projects. PhaseCut processes them on your computer and creates new timelines in your editor. Your original files and source projects are not modified by PhaseCut. We recommend you keep backups of your work.

Works with DaVinci Resolve and Premiere Pro

PhaseCut works alongside DaVinci Resolve and Adobe Premiere Pro. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by Blackmagic Design or Adobe. Those names belong to their owners. Compatibility depends on the editor versions we list, and an editor update may need a PhaseCut update.

Acceptable use

Do not use PhaseCut for anything unlawful, to infringe the rights of others, or to bypass our licensing or trial limits.

Updates

We may update PhaseCut to fix problems, add features or keep it working with new editor versions. Some updates may be required for the software to keep working.

No warranty

PhaseCut is provided "as is". We work to make it reliable, but we do not promise it will be error free or that every edit will be correct. Review your output before you deliver it to a client.

Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost work, lost profit or lost data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Ending the agreement

You can stop using PhaseCut and cancel at any time. We may suspend or end your license if you break these terms, with notice where we can give it.

Changes and governing law

We may change these terms. If a change is meaningful we will tell account holders by email and update the date above. These terms are governed by the laws of Israel, and the competent courts in Israel will handle any dispute, unless consumer law in your country gives you other rights.
